The PG-540 Bk cartridge uses a pigment ink that produces instant dry, crisp sharp text and graphics. Used with the CL-541 Colour cartridge as a pair.

The PG-540 cartridge is a low user cartridge for occasional printing with a 9ml fill of ink. For higher volume and lower cost printing, the PG-540XL has 21ml fill of ink.
